Making Hay on La Vista Farm

You make hay in May! And here in Bourbon County, everyone needs hay.

La Vista Farm will produce over 500 4'x5' round bales of hay per harvest twice a year. The entire 150-acre farm can be used for hay production; however, designated fields may also be used to grow crops or raise livestock.

Raking and Baling

The main front field is roughly 40 acres and will yield around 100 round bales measuring 4'x5'.

More Raking and Baling

Fescue, bluegrass, and orchard grass make a great bale of hay.

Cutting Hay in August!

The weather in June and July kept us from making hay due to the record rainfall. But we're back at it in August!
